Played at the Karnataka Sporting Association, cross Maidan,  it was a match between two big teams namely Karnatak SA and Payyade SC where in Karnatak SA won the toss and elected to field first considering the bowler friendly wicket.

However, Payyade SC did a good job batting first as they scored 327/7 in 70 overs. Opener Harsh Tank’s brilliant run with the bat continues as he scored a yet another fifty while wicket keeper batsman Akash Anand at no.3 scored one of the most solid centuries of the season scoring 109 off 178 balls. 22yr old Akash’s calmness and composure at the crease was definitely impressive for his age as he faced bowlers who were more experienced and elder to him. Plus being a keeper and able to score runs with such ease are all promising signs. Parag Khanapurkar at no.5 also played excellent cricket as he scored 86 off just 66balls taking on the bowlers! The bowlers did a decent job with almost every bowler chipping in with wickets.

Shivam Dubey scored an attacking 139 off 123balls

In reply, Karnatak SA also gave a tough fight with the bat as they scored 307 runs in 57.2 overs falling short of just 20runs. Left-handed middle order batsman Shivam Dubey who is known for his attacking batting smashed 139 off just 123 to resurrect the karnatak SA innings. Shivam smashed 11fours and 6sixes as he literally toyed with the bowlers. Ameya Soman who came below Shivam also chipped in with 46. Right arm medium pacer Harmeetsingh Baddhan took 5/73 in 14.2 overs and bowled an excellent spell. Payyade SC won the match on 1st innings lead and it was a match full of performances starting from Akash, Shivam and Harmeetsingh!
