It was the all important finals of the prestigious Thane Vaibhav Tournament at the Dadoji Konddev Stadium, Mumbai. Finals are always exciting and so was this match where both the teams who played hard to reach the finals had one last shot to give their best. Akumentis won the toss and elected to make Material Organisation bat first & put them under pressure.

Material Organisation were off to a tricky start with their opener Niranjan out for 1. However, their other opener Vishnu bhaidkar(Right-handed) scored a solid 46 off just 62b alls which included 6 boundaries. Vinayak Joshi, Gautam Wankhede & Roshal Patel also gave crucial contributions scoring 46, 38 & 35 respectively. Rahul Ghodke was the pick of the bowlers for Akumentis with bowling figures of 2/16 in 4 overs followed by 2/43 by Avi Marke. Eventually Material Organisation managed to score 238/8 in 35 overs which is anyday a good score to defend in the finals.

Chasing 239, thanks to the collective good performance by the Material bowlers, Akumentis were all out for just 112 runs in 22.1 overs. A total of 4 bowlers chipped in together with 2 wickets each and destroyed the batting unit of Akumentis & winning the match by 126 runs. Medium pacer Vivek Malgundkar, Vinayak Joshi, Premdeep & Mangesh Jadhav all bowled really well not allowing any batsman to settle & helping their team lift the prestigious Thane Vaibhav Tournament.
