Aditya’s 6/33 and Arman Pathan’s brisk 104 helps Young Zoroastrian’s XI reach semis in the U/14 Inter Summer Vacation MCA Tournament

Held at the Azad Maidan in Mumbai, it was a crucial 3rd match between two promising teams namely Young Zoroastrian & Dadar Union of the MCA U/14 Tournament. Dadar Union won the toss & elected to bat first in order to put the opposition under pressure.

Batting first, Dadar Union were skittled out for just 142/10 in 44 overs in their 1st innings. Ritesh Nalawade was the highest scorer smashing an 83ball 49 at down the order while the rest of the batsman were not able to make good starts. Slow left arm spinner Aditya Jadhav impressed one & all with his fantastic spin bowling as he castled the batsman coming up with envious bowling figures of 6/33 in his 17 overs which also included 6 maidens. Medium pacer Ojas Mule also bowled well chipping in with 3wkts.

In reply, Young Zoroastrian’s XI made 248/9 declare in 72 overs where in right handed Arman Pathan scored a classy 104 off just 137balls which also included 10 fours. Arman really batted with full confidence and his timing of the ball was also noteworthy while Aarya & Radhya chipped in with 36 & 37 respectively.  Ritesh Nalawade took 4wkts while Sairaj Moorthy 3/40. Dadar Union ended their 2nd innings at 91/4 before the end of the game’s play where Young Zoroastrians won on 1st innings.

The highlight of the match was certainly Aditya Jadhav’s bowling & Arman’s classy hundred. Ritesh’s all-round perfomance was also promising in the match. Cricketgraph congratulates all the boys for putting up a good show & wishes them all the luck for a great cricketing year ahead.
