It was the all important finals between two important teams namely Bal Bhawan International School(Dwarka)(BBIS) & Ajmal Khan Cricket Coaching Center(AKCC) on 19/6/17 where in AKCC won the toss & elected to bat first as the pitch was looking good enough to bat on.
Batting first AKCC made 149/7 in 30 overs which is a defendable score though they could have batted a little better to reach 170-180. Dipanshu was the pick of the batsman scoring 40 off 35 while Subodh & Yash chipped in with 28 & 25 respectively. Bhavya was the pick of the bowlers scalping 3/17 in his 6 overs while Ashish also took a wicket in his one over. The bowling was quite effective in the end as they did not allow the batsman to score runs freely.
However, BBIS could not replicate their good bowling perfomance in their batting as they managed to score only 99/6 in 30 overs. AKCC bowlers did a terrific job with the ball as they did not allow the opposition to even score at 4runs per over. While Sachin Yadav worked hard for his 37 off 55balls but he lacked support from the other end apart from Mayank who chipped in with 24. Left-arm spinners Ayush(2/6 in 2overs) & Sammy(2/22 in 6 overs) bowled a terrific spell together conceding just 28runs in their 8 overs while picking up 4 wkts together.
AKCC won the all important finals by 50 runs while Subodh was declared the ‘best batsman’ of the tournament. Karthik Tyagi was awarded the ‘best fielder’ while Pooja Yadav was declared the ‘emerging player of the tournament” & Sachin Yadav was declared ‘man of the tournament’. Cricketgraph congratulates the winning team & all the talented players for a great cricketing year ahead.
