Akshay Powale scores a solid 61*while Manesh Bhogle scores 103 in the ongoing Kanga League ‘17

Played at the Khar Gymkhana between Rajasthan SC and Khar Gymkhana team, Rajasthan SC won the toss and elected to bowl first expecting the pitch to have support for the bowlers.

Their decision to bowl first was spot on as they restricted Khar Gymkhana to just 130 runs in 36.3 overs. Opener Akshay Powale showed his experience with the bat as he was not only the highest scorer with an unbeaten 61* off 103balls but also remained the last man standing batting till the end. Medium pacer Girish Kocharekar bowled really well as he took 4/34 in 9 overs while the rest of the bowlers also did a fairly good job.

Rajasthan SC gave an equally promising perfomance with the bat as they scored 231/7 in 40 overs. Right handed Manesh Bhogle at no.4 scored a brilliant 103 off just 87 deliveries smashing 15fours and 2sixes while also stitched a partnership with Chirag Paghdhare who scored 43 at no.5.  Satyasheel Divecha was the pick of the bowlers taking 3wkts while Anirudha mainkar taking 2wkts. Rajasthan SC won the match on 1st innings lead while Akshay Powale and Manesh Bhogle’s batting remained the highlight perfomance of the match.
