All-Rounder Tanay Khandeshi (163* & 5 wkts) helps VN Sule win while Aditya Giri (152*) impresses in the Giles Shield’19

Played between IES VN Sule and Bombay Scottish School at the Islam Gymkhana Ground, IES VN Sule opted to bat first winning the toss and went on to score a big total of 363/3 in their 1st innings. Tanay Khandeshi scored a magnificent 163* smashing 16 fours and 2 sixes as he continues to be one consistent batsman for IES VN Sule. Shubham Shinde who is another in form player of along with Raj chipped in with 103 and 64 runs respectively as IES were in a commanding position.

Bombay Scottish School were bundled out for 192 runs and the one boy who won the hearts of many was Aditya Giri. Aditya reminded everyone of Dravid and Puajra as he single handedly fought alone to score 152* out of the team total of 192 runs. Aditya Giri who had taken 6/23 just some time ago in Giles now impressed everyone with the bat. Parth Ankolekar was the pick of the bowlers taking 5/50. Bombay Scottish recivieving a follow on were 10/8 with Tanay Khandeshi taking 4 wkts in the 3rd innings taking his tally of wkts to 5 in the match.

IES VN Sule won the match on 1st innings lead and Tanay Khandeshi, Aditya Giri and Shubham Shinde stood out with their individual performances.
