Arman Pathan’s 60 helps Young Zoroastrian win while Ayush’s valiant 88 ends on a losing cause!
It was the all important finals between Young Zoroastrian & Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana, Kandivali wherein it was make or break for both the promising teams who had worked hard to reach the finals of the U-14 Inter Summer Vacation Camp Cricket Tournament 2017. Young Zoroastrian won the toss & elected to field first.
Batting first, S.T Gymkhana made 146/10 in 47.1 overs where in Ayush Jethwa who is in brilliant form once again came up with a solid knock of 86 to help his team fight in the finals. Arun Gupta & Aditya Prabhakar took 3/12 & 3/43 respectively while the rest of the bowlers also did a decent job. In reply, Young Zoroastrian made 191/10 in 49overs where in another talented lad Arman Pathan made a solid 60 followed by a 38 by Owais Shaikh. Rajwardhan Rao was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/20.
In reply, S.T Gymkhana made 44/0 in 10 overs before the end of the game’s play where Young Zoraoastrian’s XI won on 1st innings. It was a tough fight displayed by both the teams & especially Arman & Ayush batting well for their respective teams.
