Sanjay Dogra, The man behind Dogra Cricket Academy

Former first class and Ranji cricket player from Madhya Pradesh and currently one of the reputed names in the world of Mumbai cricket, Sanjay Dogra has not only carved a solid niche as a player during his days(left arm spinner and middle order bat) but also as someone who has played a pivotal role in developing the new brand of cricket. DCA(cricket academy) in Kandivali, Mumbai is the brainchild of Sanjay Dogra. The academy was started over a decade back and has produced many wonderful players, who have not only played for different states including Mumbai at junior and senior(Ranji) level.

Sanjay Dogra runs this academy and The senior players of the academy shoulder the responsibility of training the young guns under the guidance of Sanjay Dogra. DCA is a temple to the devotees of cricket. DCA provides highest quality of proffesional coaching to the players which is free of cost to the deserving players. You need to have some substance and caliber to catch the watchful eyes of this mighty left arm spinner. Branded as ‘murder bowler’ by the legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar, Mr.Dogra has fond memories of playing alongside the great legend Sunil Gavaskar and many other international cricketers and was known as one of the deadliest left arm spinners in the country during his playing days. Though he could not pursue cricket as a career,Sanjay Dogra has also made a mark in advertising industry. He was associated with agencies like Lintas,Saatchi and Saatchi,Everest,The Times of India,Network etc at a senior level and got to manage various big brands like P and G,Yamaha,Ministry of Tourism,Star India and many more

DCA is like a boon to cricket. Highest and toughest standard of training including fitness to the young and budding players has been a unique proposition of the academy. ‘Fitness first’ is the way to go at DCA. The players are trained rigorously initially for a first two or three months and only when the boys are shaped to be moulded, they are allowed to practice in the nets.
