Just fresh from a brutal 85 off just 44balls a few matches ago, Arun Yadav seems to be not done yet as he notches up another brilliant ton in the Vijay Manjrekar/Ramakant Desai tournament. It was a match between National Cricket Club & D.Y Patil boys at the Shivaji Park Gymkhana where DY Patil won the toss & elected to field first.
However, their decision to field first did not go in their favor as National CC managed to score a commendable score of 214/10 in 20 overs. Thanks to their in-form opener Arun Yadav who is in a completely different mood nowadays when he comes to bat. Arun Yadav smashed a scintillating 100 off just 54balls smashing 9fours & 6sixes en route his aggressive knock. Karsh Kothari took 3/35 followed by 2wkts each for Prashant Bhoir & Vineet Sinha.
Chasing 215 in 20 overs, DY Patil managed to make only 172/9 in 20overs with Yogesh Pawar being the leading scorer with a 20ball 48. The bowlers did a really good job with Siddarth, Pushkar & Akhtar sheikh scalping 2wkts each.
National CC won the semi-finals & Arun Yadav was declared ‘man of the match for his aggressive ton. Cricketgraph congratulates Arun & the whole team for putting up a great show and also wishes them luck for their future encounters.
