Some bowling spells come once in a blue moon, like Pathan’s hat trick against Pakistan or Malinga’s 4wkts in 4balls or Chaminda Vaas’s 8/19 vs Zimbabwe or Kumble’s all 10wkts in an innings vs Pakistan. Well, It would be an exaggeration to compare this perfomance with those international ones but what Sail did against Sporting CC was nothing short of awe inspiring which took everyone’s attention.

Held at the Payyade Sports Club in Kandivali, Sporting CC won the toss and elected to bat first to put PDTSA under pressure. However, Sporting CC were bundled out for just 123runs in 53.3 overs where in Soham Pawar top scored with 34. Sail Dawane and Adwait Palsule were the pick of the bowlers taking 3wkts each. In reply, PDTSA were bundled out for 95runs in their 1st innings where in Dhir Thakker and Soham Pawar were the pick of the bowlers with 4/13 and 3/14 respectively.

In the 2nd innings, Little did they knew on the storm which was about to come as PDTSA restricted Sporting CC to just 90/all out in 38.1 overs. The bowler who was responsible for that damage was PDTSA’s left arm spinner Sail Dawane who went through the entire batting order of Sporting CC as he came up with stunning bowling figures of 8/17 in 10.1 overs (4maidens). Chinaman Sail bowled in the right areas and kept on troubling the batsman with his consistent spin which reaped him rewards. PDTSA successfully chased down the score as they scored 119/6 in 26.4 overs and won the match by 4wkts. Ayush Vaity (34) and Sail Dawane(34*) were the top scorers. PDTSA won the match but it was Sail with his 11wkt haul and an unbeaten 34* who will remain the standout performer in the match. Cricketgraph congratulates the winning team and Sail while wishes luck to all the players for a great season ahead.
