Zooter International School Dad’s Tournament saw one of the best matches played in the competition so far when Camp Rangers and DAIS Aces locked horns against each other at Air India Sports Club, Mumbai on January 26. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Camp Rangers posted a respectable total of 170-8 in 20 overs. Coming in at no.3, Aditya Maheshwari top scored with 45 off 35, and received good support from Kaushal Parikh (29) and Anuj Goyal (23 not out), helping the team put up a challenging score on board. For DAIS Aces, it was Siddharth Gopalkrishnan who wrecked havoc with the ball picking up 3-21 in his four overs. The right arm medium pacer bowled in good line and length and reaped sweet fruits. Sarang Jhaveri struck with 2-27, with Rabindra Jhunjhunwala and Bhoumick Vaidya accounting for one dismissal each.

In reply, DAIS Aces put up a solid performance and in the end it was even steven as both the teams ended the match in a tie. At the end of 20 overs, DAIS Aces scored 170-9. Siddharth Gopalkrishnan who earlier created magic with the ball, did even better when he came out with the willow. Siddharth played a phenomenal knock of 77 (45) and remained unbeaten at the end of the play. He hit as many as nine boundaries and two sixes in his splendid innings and was the pillar of strength for his team. With the ball, Vishal Shah of Camp Rangers struck with 3-15 in his four overs. The fielding was electrifying as Camp Rangers were involved in four run outs of the opposition.

All-rounder Siddharth Gopalkrishnan was presented with the Man of the Match award for his fabulous performance with both, bat and ball. Gopalkrishnan elucidated, “The wicket was pretty good to bat on. Though we lost wickets in quick succession, I was determined to play a big knock. With the ball as well, I had a good time. The dismissal of Harshvardhan Roongta was my favourite one. I hope to continue this form going ahead”.
