Honey and Abhay steer Rising 11 to a win in the ongoing Skyline T20 Corporate Tournament

Played on 3rd September 2017, it was a match between two promising teams namely Rising XI and Warriors Cricket Club at the Skyline Cricket Ground in Gurgaon, Haryana. Warriors CC won the toss & elected to field first in order to put a big total on the board.

Batting first, Rising XI scored a respectable score of 145/8 in 20 overs even though the openers failed to give a good start. Vineet at no.3 scored a run a ball 38 while it was Abhay at no.5 who changed the script of the game as he chipped in with an aggressive 48 off just 24balls which included 2fours and 5 big sixes at a healthy strike rate of 200. Mayank at down the order also came in handy as he remained 22* off just 8balls at no.8. From Warriors CC, Sekhar was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/23 in 4 overs.

In Reply, Warriors CC gave a tough fight but fell short of 8runs while chasing 145. Even though Rijuan and Jai Lal chipped in with quick 20’s but none of the players were able to convert their starts. Honey from Rising XI came up with match winning bowling figures of 3/12 in 4 overs. Rising XI won the match by 8runs and Honey was declared ‘man of the match’ for his tight bowling.
