Played at the western Railway, Cross Maidan in Mumbai, it was a match between two promising teams namely Canara Vijay and Rizvi Sports Club where in Canara Vijay won the toss and elected to field first in order to restrict the opposition to a low total.
Batting first, Rizvi SC were all out for 122/10 in 37.4 overs where in opener Sagar Chabbria was the top scorer with a 49ball 40 while slow left-armer Ajay Mishra was the pick of the bowlers taking 4/23 in 11.4 overs. In reply, Canara Vijay could not convert their good bowling perfomance into their batting as Rizvi SC reduced them to just 57/all out in 31.1 overs. Right-arm medium pacer Imran Baig was the destroyer in chief with his excellent line and length as he picked up a stunning 6/17 in 10 overs. Imran single handedly cleaned up the entire batting line up of Canara Vijay which was nothing short of commendable.
Rizvi SC remained 24 for no loss in their 2nd innings before the end of the game’s play where they won the match on 1st innings. Rizvi won the match but it was Imran’s bowling which remained the highlight perfomance of the match. Cricketgraph congratulates Imran while wishes luck to both the teams for their upcoming matches.
