This season has certainly been dominated by spinners and especially left arm spinners. One such bowler who stunned the opposition with his spin was Aliasgar as he cleaned up the entire batting line up of Kamath Memorial with his confusing spin.

Played at the Bombay High Court SC, Oval Maidan, Kamath Memorial won the toss and elected to field first. Batting first, Souvenir CC were all out for 102/10 in 27.5 overs with Aashay top scoring with 28.  Spinner Sagar Muley was the pick of the bowlers taking 5/25 in 9 overs followed by an impressive spell of 4/29 by Tushar Mhatre.

Souvenir gave an excellent comeback with the ball and more importantly it was their left-arm spinner Aliasgar who proved to be a major dent in Kamath’s batting line up. Kamath Memorial boys were all out for just 70 in 29.3 overs and a major reason for that fall was Aliasgar who came up with stunning bowling figures of 6/7 in 6.3 overs (3maidens). Ali extracted the best out of the pitch as he castled the batsman consistently. Souvenir CC made another 77/5 in the 2nd innings before the end of the game’s play. Sagar Muley took another 4wkts in the 2nd innings taking his tally of wickets to 9. Souvenir CC won the match on 1st innings while it was Aliasgar and Sagar’s bowling which grabbed everyone’s notice. Cricketgraph congratulates the winning team while wishes luck to all the players for their upcoming matches.
