Held at the Vengsarkar Academy in Mahul, Mumbai. Deutsche Bank XI & Datamatics Global XI clashed for the all important finals of the Masters Cup. The pitch was slightly tilted towards the bowlers and Datamatics elected to bowl first after winning the toss.
Their decision to bowl first was quite spot on as Deutsche Bank was reduced to just 126/8 in 20 overs. It was a tight bowling performance where in the bowlers hardly gave any room for errors. Not a single batsman scored more than 25runs till no.7 until Sanket Kankonkar acted as an angel for Deutsche Bank as he smashed a 29ball 46(1fours, 4sixes) at no.8 to help his team reach a somewhat respectable total. Left-arm spinners Dhruvin Dharamsey & Nehal Katakdhond were the pick of the bowlers taking 2/21 & 2/16 respectively in their 4 overs while Kuldeep Vishwakarma and Ritesh Palav also picked a wicket each.
Chasing 128 in a T20 match is like chasing 220-230 in an ODI which is 9 out of 10 times achievable & Datamatics similarly chased down the score successfully winning the match by 4wkts and 1.1 overs to spare. Even though they lost a few quick wickets at the top but Kuldeep Vishwakarma at no.4 smashed a match winning unbeaten 57* off 41balls(6 fours) to take Datamatics Global Services Ltd. towards the victory line.
Datamatics won the finals comfortably and lifted the Masters Cup title while Kuldeep Vishwakarma was declared ‘Man of the Match’ for his all-round performance. Cricketgraph congratulates the entire Datamatics team for their win while also wishing luck to all the players for a great cricketing year ahead
