Held at the Bhavani Niketan Cricket Stadium in Jaipur, it was the all important finals between the senior teams India Yellow “A” vs India Yellow “B” where the match was reduced to 14overs per side due to rains. On a good batting track, Yellow B won the toss and elected to bat first in order to post a big total on the board.
Batting First, India Yellow ‘B” made a decent total of 108/5 in 14 overs which is not that big but definitely good enough to defend. Wicket-keeper opening batsman Laxman scored a sublime 41 off just 26balls(5fours) at a strike rate of 170+ while also did good running between the wickets while the rest of the batsman came in and gave starts. From the bowling side, the bowlers proved to be quite economical with Sanjay being the pick of the bowlers with 1/12 in 3 overs.
Chasing 109 at almost 8 runs per over, India Yellow “A’ may have felt the pressure of chasing in the finals as they were all out for 83/10 in 13.4 overs. None of the batsman were able to convert their good starts with openers Aman and Divya being the highest scorers with 15 and 17 respectively. The bowlers did a terrific job where in skipper Saurav took 2/14 followed by 2wkts each for Gautam & Vasu. India Yellow “B” (seniors team) won the finals and opener Laxman was declared ‘man of the match’. Cricketgraph congratulates Laxman and the whole team while wishes all the players luck for a great cricketing year ahead.
