Played at the Sainath Sports Club, it was a match between two promising teams namely Chembur Gymkhana and Sportsmen CC Vasai where in Chembur Gymkhana won the toss and elected to bat first expecting the pitch to have some support for the batsman since the rains are over.

However, Chembur Gymkhana managed to score only 144 runs in 45.2 overs where in Suraj Lalwani was the lone fighter scoring a solid 84 off 119balls. Suraj kept on batting while the wickets kept on falling from the other end. The bowler who inflicted the maximum damage was certainly this left arm spinner Rahul Mishra whose talent has come into spotlight at the fag end of the tournament. Spinner Rahul Mishra literally ran through the batting line up of Chembur Gymkhana as he came up with excellent bowling figures of 7/53 in 16.2 overs. Rahul kept on bowling in the right areas which reaped him maximum rewards.

Chembur Gymkhana gave excellent comeback with the ball as they restricted Sportsmen CC Vasai to 124/7 in 33 overs before the end of the game’s play where the match was declared drawn. Suraj Lalvani and Shravan Ghodke took two wkts each while Nirav and Pratik top scored with 43 and 37.  Both the teams gave a nice tough fight to each other but it was Rahul’s bowling and Suraj’s solid batting which took everyone’s attention.
