It was the all important semi-finals yesterday between Ajmal Khan Cricket coaching center and Noida warriors at the Rajokri Cricket ground in Delhi. Noida wonders won the toss & elected to bat first as the wicket at Rajokri is good to bat on.

Batting first, Noida wonders did a excellent job with the bat as they scored a very competitive score of 240/9 in 40 overs which is exactly 6runs per over. From Noida, it was this talented batsman Puru Gaud who top scored with a fantastic 122 coming off just 91 balls which included 11 fours and 7sixes while Utkarsh chipped in with a quick 35.  Left-arm spinner Mohit Badeshra was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/30 in his 8 overs followed by 2wkts for left arm quickie Prashant Bhatti.

Chasing 241 in 40 overs is not the easiest of tasks but in-form Mayank Rawat was again the man of the moment as he stole the show with his electrifying batting once again smashing a quick hundred. Just fresh from a triple hundred few days ago, Mayank again scored a 70ball 126 which 11fours and 11 sixes to steer his team AKCC to a win in just 29.5 overs. Nikhil Gautam also scored a solid 65 off 53balls. Ajmal Khan cricket academy won the semi-finals by 4wkts and 10.1 overs to spare while Mayank Rawat was declared ‘man of the match’

U/19 India’ left arm spinner Harsh Tyagi’s 4/50 was also noteworthy though it went for a losing cause while Mayank looks all set to return to the national side with his brilliant form.
