Middle order bat Prathamesh Pawar hits a fiery ton vs National CC in the Kanga League 2017

Two big and experienced teams Muslim United & National CC took on each other at the National CC (Cross Maidan) ground in Mumbai and Muslim United SC were put to bat first by the National CC boys considering the bowler friendly pitch and weather conditions.

Batting first, National CC did managed to create an impact as they scored a healthy 205/8 declare in 38 overs. Even though the openers Sandeep (41 off 113) & Satylaksh (20 off 44b) gave a solid start, the no.3,4 and 5 batsman crumbled. It was directly Prathamesh pawar at no.6 who came in and counter attacked the bowlers. Right-handed Prathamesh displayed power and grace couple with aggression to score a match saving 108 off just 79balls which included 13fours and as many as 6sixes in his 108 which clearly showed he only dealt in boundaries (88runs in boundaries). The bowlers did a good job with Chinmay Patil being the pick of the bowlers taking 3/29 in 9 overs.

In reply, National CC made 113/6 in 22 overs where in opener Krunal Nair was the top scorer with an aggressive and entertaining 43 off just 19balls. The match ended in a draw but it was Prathamesh’s ton which took everyone’s notice. Cricketpgraph congratulates Prathamesh while wishes both the teams luck for their future encounters.
