Mohammad Amir bowls out ICICI to steer Route Mobile to a nail biting win

Nikhil Mandavkar’s efforts went in vain as ICICI lost to Route Mobile by a paltry 11 runs on Sunday at MIG Bandra, Mumbai. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Route Mobile put on board a respectable total of 154-8 in 20 overs.

Fahim was the top scorer with 45 runs off 37 balls, hitting four boundaries and a six. At the top of the order, Vishal Dhagaonkar scored 29 off 23, and Siddharth’s unbeaten knock of 29 (15) lower down the order, were the other key contributions. Kuldeep Panda was the pick of the bowlers for ICICI as he accounted for 3-8 in his two-over spell. In reply, ICICI lost early wickets and were down and out at 7-82 in 14 overs. Nikhil Mandavkar was the lone warrior as he held the ICICI innings together with a solid knock of 67 that came of just 33 balls. Mohammad Amir wrecked havoc scalping 4-11 in four overs.

He bowled good lines and length throughout his spell asking several questions to the batsmen. Amir was awarded the Man of the Match for his match winning bowling effort. “Though the wicket was a bit slow, I focused on bowling in the right areas to take wickets. The caught and bowled of Shlok who was looking good at the crease was my favourite dismissal”, stated Mohammad Amir.
