Neil Bhatkar’s 4 wickets advances Khalsa college to grand finals of DSO

In a high stake match like this, you either give your best or just leave it. There are no second options and Khalsa college chose the first option of giving their best. Though they lost the toss and BP Juniors made them bat first but they were not aware Khalsa college would not mind batting first as they posted a good total of 110 in 15 overs.

Aditya Suryavanshi and Sanket Yashwante gave good cameos of 22 & 25(9balls) respectively to help their team reach a decent total. Though the BP bowlers worked hard but they could never keep Khalsa below 7 runs per over which led them reach 110. Chasing 111 to win, Khalsa had a very good bowling line up and they did not allow a single batsman to score freely or give away easy runs.

Quite evident from the fact that BP Junior College were all out for 50 runs in 14 overs. Special mention must go to Neil Bhatkar who claimed 4 wickets and that too important 4 wickets cleaning the entire top order with his pace bowling. His personal favorite was his wicket where the batsman got out over the slips & one was a clean bowled too!

Khalsa college also played well before in their city final match against Kirti college where in Neil had taken 3 wickets there too. Neil has been the highlight of this tournament snapping 17 wickets in 8 matches making him one of the bright performers of the tournament. The right arm pacer known for his outswing is certainly a bowler to look out for! Khalsa would advance themselves to the grand finals with a lot of positive approach and confidence when they play their big match in Ahmednagar & the team would surely be in great spirits to life the trophy too!
