Held at the Skyline Cricket Ground in Gurgaon, Haryana, Delhi Royal Strikers & Empire Cricket Club faced each other where in DRS won the toss & elected to field first as the wicket looked really good to bowl first.
However, Empire Cricket Club was hardly affected batting first as they scored a very competitive total of 163/7 in 20 overs. Manoj at no.4 scored a 32ball 40 but it was Amanpreet at no.7 who changed the script of the game with one of the fastest fifties of the tournament scoring 53* off just 22balls. Amanpreet smashed 5fours and 3sixes at a strike rate of 240 which helped his team reach a very respectable total of 163.
Chasing 164 in a T20 game is always a tricky situation & DRS felt the pressure of chasing as they were all- out for 103/10 in 18.4 overs. The bowler who took everyone by surprise was right arm off spinner Amit Dalal who bamboozled the batsman with envious bowling figures of 5/5 in 2.4 overs. Amit’s bowling almost single handedly completed the game for Empire CC. Empire CC won the match by 60 runs & Amit Dalal was declared ‘man of the match’. Cricketgraph congratulates Amt as well as the whole team and wishes luck to both the teams for their upcoming matches.
