It was the all important semi-final match between two strong sides namely Fort Vijay & M.I.G Cricket Club in Mumbai. Fort Vijay who have a good batting line-up elected to bat first and post a big total on the board to put the opposition under pressure.

Batting first, Fort Vijay could have batted more nicely considering their strong batting line up but eventually they were all out for 237/10 in 67.2 overs. Pankaj jaiswal was the pick of the batsman scoring a solid century for Fort Vijay. It was surely a match-winning knock which pushed their team total to 247 or they would have been all-out for a much lesser total. Pankaj was the leading scorer with 107 followed by 46 & 30 by Rahul Lad & Sanket Bhaye. The bowlers did a fairly good job with the ball by restricting them below 250 which is a good score to chase. Nikhil Date was the pick of the bowlers for M.I.G with bowling figures of 3/54.

M.I.G Cricket club bowled well but it was not the same case when it came to their batting as they were bundled out for just 107 runs. Once again the spin duo of Farhan Kazi and Sagar Udeshi did the job for their team. Both these bowlers together have almost become a pair like Harbhajan-kumble or Jadeja-Ashwin bowling together in tandem for their team. Left-arm leg-spinner Sagar Udeshi took 4/37 followed by 3/35 by Farhan Kazi which completely cleaned up the MIG batting line up.

Fort Vijay CC won the semi-finals by 130 runs & Cricketgraph congratulates the whole team & especially Pankaj, Sagar & Farhan for their exceptional performance. We also wish that they continue their good form & go on to win the tournament.
