Batting first, Prabhu Jolly Young Cricketers scored 148-10 in 45.3 overs against New Amrit Cricket Club in the D division Kanga League match on 21st August in Mumbai. Opening bat Nitin Palande’s special batting display helped Prabhu Jolly to post a decent total on board. Nitin scored 49 and was unlucky to miss out on a well-deserved half century. Yash Mahale was the pick of the bowlers for New Amrit finishing off with figures of 4-49 in 12 overs.

New Amrit had a disappointing day with the bat as they were done and dusted for a miserly 40. Amit Pandey and Aasuya Palkar bowled well in tandem to run through New Amrit’s batting line-up. Pandey accounted for 6-7 and Palkar grabbed 3-7.

The play closed at 1-1 for Prabhu Jolly as they took the first innings lead in the match.
