Batting first, Intelenet were off to a decent start with opener Shashank Mistry scoring a solid 49 off 61 balls. What followed after Shashank was pure entertainment and a proper cricketing knock by their no.3 batsman Priyank Patel. Right-handed Priyank Patel scored a magnificent hundred (101) off just 82 balls to anchor his team to a great total. Priyank worked hard between the wickets and did good running apart from scoring 10 glorious boundaries in his 82 ball stay at the crease. Kalpesh Sawant chipped in with a quick 34(27) followed by Sunny patel who remained unbeaten on 30* off just 22 balls to push their team total to a respectable score of 237/3 in 35 overs. Manohar, Pravin & Ankit took a wicket each but the situation demanded more tight bowling to restrict them below 200.

Chasing 238 in 210 balls (35 overs) is a tough task and especially when there is the pressure of the finals. Lilavati hospital managed to reach 196/9 in 35 overs and lost the finals by 42 runs. It was some good bowling by the bowlers which restricted them from freeing their hands. The first 3 batsman were out for a duck & it couldn’t have been a better start for Intelenet but Lilavati did not gave up as Rupesh Kondalkar at no.5 gave his best to score a fighting 73 off 73 balls(10 fours.1six) to revive the hopes for his team. Sudhir and Parag also gave him support with their quick 20’s but it just did not proved to be enough at the end of the day as they lost the match. Right arm off spinner Kalpesh Sawant was the pick of the bowlers taking 3/23 followed by their fast bowler Arvind Patel taking 2/21 in 6 overs.

It was a good team performance by intelenet where the batsman and the bowlers both did their job to win the crucial finals of the tournament. Cricketgraph congratulates the entire team & wishes them to continue their good form in the future too.
