Promising Ishan’s crucial 45 & Nikhil Palande’s tight bowling steers Abbott to a win in the Milan T20 trophy ‘18

Played at the Karnatak, Cross Maidan, Abbott and Sanofi took on each other where in Abbott boys won the toss and elected to field first as the Cross Maidan pitches have many a times surprised the bowlers with some great assistance.

Sanofi batting first were not able to make much of an impact as they made a modest 130/8 in 20overs with most of their batsman chipping in with 10’s and 20’s but not able to convert their starts. From the bowlers Nikhil Palande was really impressive with the ball being the pick of the bowlers with 3/24 in 4overs while Sandesh Bhoir was also effective with the ball taking 2wkts.

Chasing 131, Abbott finished off the chase in just 18.2 overs as Ishan Mithbavkar scored a match winning 45 off 35balls at no.3 which had 7fours in it. The rest of the batsman batted around him as he played an anchoring knock which eventually helped Abbott win the match by 5wkts and 10balls to spare.

It was a nice match with some good performances while Ishan was declared ‘man of the match’ for his crucial 45.
