Promising Yash Thadeshwar’s 4-fer does the job for NSCI in the Gannon Dunkerely T20 Tournament ‘18

Played at the Cricket Club of India which has always been a ground to favor the bowlers more, NSCI rightly elected to bowl first after winning the toss and putting CCI to bat first on their own turf.

Their decision to bowl first was spot on as they restricted CCI to just 134/6 in 20 overs which is not the best of the T20 totals. Even though they were struggling at 83/6 at one stage, Behzaad Devadvala scored a fighting knock of 56* off 37balls smashing 9fours in it. From the bowlers, Yash Thadeshwar bowled a match winning spell of 4/17 in 4overs which was not only economical but he also bowled in the right areas with regular breakthroughs.

CCI really gave a tough fight and took the match till the last over and did not allow NSCI to win easily. NSCI won by a narrow margin of 2wkts and 2balls to spare with Danesh Chaddar top scoring with a 35ball 36. NSCI won a close encounter by 2wkts and Yash Thadeshwar was rightly declared the ‘man of the match’ for his brilliant bowling spell.
