It was a match between two experienced teams namely Ajmal Khan Cricket Center & Jhanjar XI NIZ at the Rajokri Cricket Ground in Delhi. AKCC who won the toss elected to bowl first since the pitch looked good to bowl first under rainy conditions.
Batting first, Jhanjar XI were all out for 238/10 which is a very good score to defend though they could have scored more had they batted till the end. All-rounder Rishi Pal who is known for his attacking batting scored a fluent and solid looking 71 off 82balls which comprised of 4fours & 5sixes while Laksya Dalal stole the show with the bat as he scored a brutal 82 off mere 44balls which included 7sixes to light up the ground. All-rounder Mayank Rawat who has been in good form with the bat took 4wkts with the ball this time making him pick of the bowlers for AKCC while Prashant Bhatti taking 2/27.
Chasing 239, the equally strong batting line of AKCC could not chase down the score successfully as they fell short of 16runs managing to score only 223. Nikhil Gautam scored a brisk 78 off 49balls (7sixes) while Ayush Badoni scored a 49ball 64(5sixes) but the rest of the batsman were not able to fire. All-rounder Rishi Pal took 2/14 with his medium pace while Gaurav Gaud also chipped in with 2wkts.
Jhanjar XI won the match by 15runs and all-rounder Rishi Pal was adjudged ‘man of the match’ for his brilliant contribution both with the bat as well as with the ball.
