Sachin smashes a 28ball 72 to steer Gokuldham to a win in the Gokuldham Trophy 2017

Held at the Aarey Bhaskar Ground at Goregaon, Mumbai. Two strong teams namely Gokuldham Boys & Linkedin Legends clashed for a crucial encounter where in Gokuldham Boys won the toss & elected to bat first since the wicket was good to bat on.

Batting first, Gokuldham boys smashed 200 runs on the board which is a good target to defend in T20’s on any part of the day. Openers Mahesh & Sandeep gave a good start but it was Sachin Patel who carried on the positive momentum as he smashed a cracking 72 off mere 28balls. Right handed Sachin’s innings was full of fireworks as he played at a strike rate of above 250 where in he smashed as many as 8sixes and just 3 boundaries definitely making his bat do the talking. Prasad Sir remained unbeaten on 40* off just 19balls which further boosted their score to reach 200/4 in 20 overs. Not a single bowler was spared where in Prathamesh was the pick of the bowlers taking 2wkts but was also on the expensive side.

Chasing 201 at 10 runs per over is always tough and the pressure of chasing did rub off on Linkedin boys too as they were bundled out for just 113/10 in 19.1 overs. Opener Ankit scored a solid 40 but none of the other batsman could fire. Raminder Singh(2/20) & Amol Gurye(2/9) were the pick of the bowlers while all-rounder sachin patel also chipped in with 1 wkt alongwith Ashish & Mahesh.

Gokuldham Boys won the match by 87runs & Prasad Sir was declared ‘man of the match’ while Sachin’s blazing innings was also equally match winning. Cricketgraph congratulates Prasad, sachin and the whole team for their win while also wishes luck to all the players for a great year ahead.
