Saumya Kandor hits a solid 50 to steer his team SBHS to a win in the DSO U-14 Tournament

Played at 17.10.17 at Azad Maidan, it was a match between two young and promising teams namely Swadhyay Bhavan High School and St. Teresa High School where in SBHS won the toss and elected to bat first.

Batting first, SBHS did a decent job with the bat as they scored a competitive total of 102/1 in 15 overs. The openers Saumya Kandor and Shubh Chauhan gave a excellent start with their aggressive batting. What’s more Saumya scored a fantastic 51 at a nice pace covering almost every corner of the ground with his matured and solid cricketing shots. It was these two openers which helped their team cross the 100run mark in 15 overs.

Chasing 102, the opposition team, St. Theresa were bundled out for just 20 runs in 14 overs where in not a single batsman was able to score in two figures. It was a fantastic bowling perfomance where in every bowler chipped in with wickets while Saumya’s batting along with his opening partner remained the highlight perfomance of the match.
