Played at the Sassanian CC, Azad Maidan in Mumbai, it was a match between two promising teams of B Division namely Gaud Saraswat CC and Young Comrade CC where in Young Comrade won the toss and elected to bat first.

Batting first, Gaud Saraswat boys failed to survive the tough wicket of Sassanian as they were all out for 100/10 in 38.1 overs.  Ahsan at no.6 top scored with 31 while from the bowling side it was their slow left arm spinner Shamit Shetty who was the chief destroyer. Shamit ate through the entire batting line up with his wily spin as he took 6/30 in 15 overs which also included 7maidens leading from the front as a captain. Shamit extracted the best out of the wicket as not a single batsman was able to decipher his spin.

In reply, Young Comrade declared at 104/5 in 33 overs taking a lead of 4runs. Gaud Saraswat were 22/0 in 7 overs in the 2nd innings before the end of the game’s play where Young Comrade CC won the match on 1st innings and they top the C div table so far. It was a great match but it was Shamit shetty who proved once again that left-arm spinners are outright dominating this season. Cricektgraph congratulates Shamit while wishes luck to all the players for a great season ahead.
