Played at the iconic DY Patil ground at Nerul, two strong and talented teams namely Parsee Gymkhana & DY Patil Sports Academy took on each other where in DY Patil won the toss and elected to field first since they have a good batting line up to chase down most of the totals.

Ajinkya Patil who helped his team reach a decent total by scoring 114 off 153balls

Batting first, Parsee Gymkhana batted well as they scored a decent total of 287/all out in 68.4 overs. At one point Parsee Gymkhana were struggling at 101/5 but it was Ajinkya Patil at the middle order who scored a valiant knock of 114 off 153balls which pushed his team towards a respectable total. Ajinkya batted really well as he smashed 8fours and 4sixes en route his 114. From DY Patil, veteran spinner Pravin Tambe and medium pacer Prashant Bhoir took 3wkts each.

Shubham Ranjane who is in terrific form missed out by just 5runs on what could have been his 3rd consecutive ton

For a in-form and a strong batting line up of DY Patil, even a score of 287 was not enough to defend for Parsee Gymkhana boys as they chased down the score successfully with the loss of just 3wkts in 61.3 overs. Right handed opener Shashank Singh anchored the innings till the end as he scored an unbeaten 129* off 175balls (10fours, 5sixes), Shashank did not only play some elegant shots but also displayed some power hitting with 5sixes. What’s more Shashank also stitched a match winning 185runs stand with the in-form Shubham Ranjane who fell just 5runs short of what could have been his 3rd consecutive ton. Shubham who has already proved his mettle with the bat is looking in great touch and we hope his form continues in the longer run. Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy won the match in style by 7wkts and 8.3 overs to spare while Shashank’s unbeaten anchoring knock of 129* remained the highlight perfomance of the match. Cricketgraph congratulates Shashank, Shubham and the winning team while wishes luck to all the players for their upcoming matches.
