Spinners Sandeep Ingle and Bharat Major help Young Stars Marine Drive win in the Kanga League 2017
Played at the Elphinstone CC ground (Azad maidan) in Mumbai between Young Men CC Vasai and Young Stars Marine Drive, it was Vasai winning the toss and putting Young stars to bat first considering the bowler friendly pitch and weather conditions.
Batting first, Young Stars Marine Drive were all-out for just 136/10 in 41.2 overs where in Rohan Sadarjoshi top scored with 37. Raja Gode & Kunal Rele bowled really well taking 4wkts each. Kunal Rele was particularly impressive taking 4/13 in his 3.2 overs. However, Young Men CC Vasai could not emulate their good bowling perfomance into their batting as they were skittled out for just 49/all out in 22 overs. Slow left arm bowler Sandeep ingle bowled in the right areas taking 4/16 in 5 overs(2 maidens). Sunil bowled really well while he also got great support from the other end as off spinner Bharat Major also took 4/20 in his 6.2 overs.
In 2nd innings, Young Stars Marine Drive remained 46/0 before the end of the game’s play and they won the match on 1st innings. It was a commendable perfomance by the team and especially their spin bowlers Sandeep and Bharat Major.
