Subramaniam Doraswamy (111) and Aman Khan (80) hold fort as DY Patil in strong position at day 2 in Purshottam Finals

New Hind SC electing to bat first at the PJ Hindu Gymkhana brought up a 1st innings total of 285/10 in 75.2 overs. New Hind SC who were at one point 4/63 and 5/99 got back into the game thanks to a valiant half century by the dependable and consistent Parikshit Valsangkar. Parikshit scored 63 off 82 balls (12 fours) at no.6 while Nehal Katakdhond also came up with a crucial 51 runs down the order at no.10 to revive the hopes for New Hind SC.

DY Patil in reply were off to a decent start with KP continuing his good form scoring a fluent 60 runs opening the innings  while hard hitter Aman Khan who came at no.3 scored a sparkly 80 (103 balls) stitching a 137 run stand with Kaustub. The real game changing moment was yet to arrive when Subbu entered the crease scoring a classy 111 (127 balls) at no.7, Experienced campaigner Subramaniam once again delivered when the team needed him the most smashing 8 brutal sixes alongwith 7 boundaries as DY reached a 1st innings total of 343/10. Parikshit on the other hand made it an all-round show bagging 5/94 in 22.1 overs.

New Hind SC in their 2nd innings are 2 down for 156 runs with opener Karan Shah batting on 86* and Day 3 will be one interesting battle to watchout for.
