It was the all important semi-finals of the Kalyan Premier League between Sulonia Cricket Academy & Boys Cricket Club at Santosh Sports Cricket Academy, Mumbai. BCC (Boys Cricket Club) won the toss & elected to bowl first with an aim of restricting Sulonia Academy to a low total.

Sulonia Cricket Academy batted first and it was a tricky start for them as none of the batsman from the top 4 were able to convert their 20’s and 30’s into a big score. Opener Jay Dhatrak scored an aggressive 34 off 27 (6 fours) at the top of the order, however he lost his wicket at 34 & so did the other batsman who lost their wickets in similar fashion. Aryan Dalal was the 2nd highest scorer at the middle order scoring 30 off 29 balls. Team Sulonia was all out for 202/10 in 34.5 overs with Archit Ghosalkar being the pick of the bowlers for BCC with bowling figures of 3/39 in 7 overs followed by Shlok Jadhav & Parth Wad.

Chasing 203 in 35 overs is not the toughest but it is not the easiest either as BCC succumbed to the pressure of the semi-finals and were all out for 109 runs in 29.3 overs. It was some good display of bowling where the bowlers succeeded in containing the batsman to some extent. Rohil Jadhav was the pick of the bowlers with 3/20 in his 7 overs followed by 2/21 by Anuj iyer. It was also a great bowling spell by Left Arm Spinner Aryan Dalal who gave only 7 runs with 2 maidens in his 6 overs & also took a wicket. The rest of the bowlers also did a good job as Vedant, Sushen & Aarush also picked up a wicket each.

Sulonia Cricket Academy won the crucial semi-finals & Aryan Dalal was adjudged ‘man of the match’ for his all-round performance. Cricketgraph congratulates Aryan & his whole team for their promising performance & also wishes them to go on and win the tournament.
