When you see little kids score mature knocks like the ones scored by Jay Jain, Ayush or Aditya’s, You feel somewhat relieved that India indeed has a good pool of cricketing talents & the future does seem to be in safe hands. It was a match which witnessed great individual performances & a good team work between Singhania School & Matunga Premier School at the Raymond Cricket Ground in Thane.
It was a high scoring match where over 400+ runs were scored & thus ensured a full-on entertainment from both the sides even though the pitch was good for the bowlers. Matunga Premier School who batted first posted a big total on the board as Aditya Singh scored a fantastic hundred for his team. Left-handed Ayush Singh scored a stunning hundred at a strike rate of 100+ & kept the scoreboard ticking along with Aditya Warang who also scored a solid 59. The bowlers could have done a good job but they struggled to make much of an impact apart from their spinner Jay Dhatrak who took 3wickets. From Jay Jain’s excerpts with Cricektgraph we got to know some interesting facts from the match & one of them was the talent of Jay Dhatrak who can bowl spin from both the hands!
Chasing 215, it was not easy, but the strong batting line up of Singhania School made it happen. Left-handed opener Jay Jain scored a soothing & graceful 72 off just 60 balls at the top of the order which played a big role in changing the script of the game in their favor. Also the match winning partnership between Jay Jain & Rohit Tambe of 112 runs in 12 overs was the turning point of the game. Viraj Kavle & Tejas Chavan also batted well scoring unbeaten 32* & 42* respectively & completing the man chase in style.
Singhania school won the match by 6wkts & Jay Jain and Ayush Singh were declared ‘man of the match’ for their brilliant individual knocks. Cricketgraph congratulates Singhania School for their win while also wishes Jay Jain & Ayush all the luck for a great future ahead.
