Two powerful teams namely Karnataka SA & Sind Sports Club clashed for a crucial encounter at the Karantak Sporting Association ground in Mumbai where in Karnataka boys won the toss and elected to bat first as they have a very strong batting line up to trouble the opposition.
Batting first, Karnatak Association scored 227/6 in 40 overs before they declared their innings. Openers Rudra Dhandey(35 off 28) and Eknath Kerkar(28 off 36) gave a good start but it was their aggressive batsman Shivam Dubey at no.4 who scored one of the fastest hundreds of this year’s edition scoring 103* off just 75balls which included 7fours & 3sixes at a strike rate of 133.50. Shivam remained unbeaten till the end and counter attacked the bowlers nicely. From Sind SC, Aditya Dhumal was the pick of the bowlers taking 4/65 in his 12 overs.
In reply, Sind SC scored 101/5 in 40 overs before the end of the game’s play where the match was declared drawn. Opener Khushal Shah remained unbeaten on 49*(123balls) falling just one run short of a solid half century. It was a good match between two strong teams but it was Shivam Dubey’s hundred which remained the highlight perfomance of the match. Cricketgraph congratulates Shivam while wishes both the teams luck for their upcoming matches.
