Talented Spinner Ayush Zimare scalps 8/46 while Manal Kawale scores 143 in the Kalpesh Koli Tournament

The Islam Gymkhana ground witnessed a great match where two competitive teams namely Ghatkopar & Shivaji Park centre clashed with each other for a crucial encounter. Ghatkopar Center won the toss & elected to bat first with an aim of making a healthy 1st innings score and putting the opposition under pressure.

Batting first, Ghatkopar centre failed to put a big score on the board as they were bundled out for just 159/10 which wasn’t the finest of scores to give a trail to the opposition. Faiz Khan was the only batsman who looked good & remained unbeaten on 53* for Ghatkopar center. Ayush Zimare bowled well taking 2/25 in his 15overs with 4maidens. Shivaji Park boys on the other hand showed their batting prowess as they declared themselves at 256/6d getting a lead of 92runs. Manal Kawale was the pick of the scorer for Shivaji park as he scored a scintillating & aggressive 143 off just 136balls smashing 23fours & a big six en-route his stroke filled hundred. Manal looked confident & was outright dominating against almost every bowlers of Ghatkopar.

With a healthy lead, Shivaji park again restricted Ghatkopar to 157/8 before the 2-day match ended where Shivaji boys won the match on 1st innings lead. . Left-arm spin wizard Ayush Zimare again came up with some stunning bowling figures as he took as many as 6wkts while only giving 21 runs in his 20overs which included 11maidens.

Shivaji Park Center won the match comfortably where Manal Kawale was declared ‘man of the match’ for his dominating hundred while Ayush’s bowling efforts were equally match-winning.
