Vedant Gadia-one of the most prolific left handed openers has batted with terrific form and substance this year. The way he has crafted hundreds and helped his side win the matches has been noticeworthy. Vedant was also the highest run getter in the Mumbai U14 West Zone Tournament which played a big role in Mumbai coming back home as Tournament winners. Also some of the double centuries which he has smashed past one year purely describes his class and is also a testimony to the fact that he is one of the promising players to look out for. All these factors and his consistent performances throughout the year helped him win the Ramesh Rajde Scholarship for the U14 Most Promising Cricketer of the year.

On the other hand, talented all-rounder Musheer Khan who has a cricketing blood running through his entire family with elder brother Sarafaraz playing for RCB while father Naushad Khan being a cricket coach as well as a player himself stays true to the legacy. Musheer Khan who not only opens the innings with the bat many a times but also becomes the leading wicket taker in the same match. Many a times past one year he has scored a half century or a century while has also taken 5wkts or more in the same match. Also he has been consistent both with the bat as well as with the ball making him a very vital cog for any team he plays for!

This wonderful initiative was kickstarted by former India Coach Anshuman Gaekwad and former India Test cricketer Madhav Apte to recognize the promising players. The trust was established in 2007 and Ajinkya Rahane was one of the 1st recipients of this prestigious scholarship. The event was marked by big cricket personalities with Indian bowling legend Bishan Singh Bedi gracelining the event and handing over the awards personally with other dignitaries.
