Yash Kripal has been one talented bowler and a positive to come out from the Kalpesh Koli Tournament this season. He has bowled some really good and effective bowling spells so far and has helped his team Ghatkoper Center win on numerous occasions.

Playing for Ghatkoper Center this season, in the match vs U16 Mahul which was played on 12th May at Matunga Gymkhana, Mahul team won the toss and elected to bat first. However, they were all out for 118runs with Yash Kripal taking 2wkts along with other bowlers in the1st innings. His team, Ghatkoper was in deep trouble after they were all out for mere 92runs in reply. Ghatkoper Center required a miracle to stay in the match and reduce Mahul team to a low total which they could chase and in came left-arm spinner Yash Kripal. Yash bamboozled the batsman with one of the best bowling figures in this year’s tournament coming up with a stunning 8/24 in 11overs which reduced the Mahul team to 94runs all out bringing his team back into the game. In that vicious spell, Yash also took one fabulous hat-trick which completely changed the momentum as Ghatkoper center chased down the score successfully winning the match by a close margin of 1wkt.

In the 2nd match vs the famed DY Patil team, DY Patil who batted first after winning the toss declared their innings on 139/9 with Yash continuing his good form taking 4/11 in 12.5 overs with 7maidens being the pick of the bowlers. Ghatkoper in reply declared their innings on 149/6. DY Patil confidently declared their innings on 161/6 in their 2nd innings with Yash again bagging 4wkts being the leading bowler for his team. Ghatkoper center eventually chased down the score winning the match by 4wtks while Yash’s bowling played a crucial role in the win.

Yash was also awarded the best bowler of tournament from Ratnakar Shetty (BCCI official) & in the presence of Legend Sunil Gavaskar 💐
