A solid half century by Aryan Reddy steers AV Academy to a win in a Practice Match at Hyderabad
Played at Greenview Cricket Ground at Telangana, Hyderabad, AV Academy opting to bat first were all out for 170 runs in 40.3 overs. Opener Aryan Reddy and Vivek Gagan (37 runs) provided a brilliant start with a 95 run stand for the 1st wicket, however, none of their batters below them could capitalize on the good start provided by the openers. Aryan top scored for his team with a solid looking 70 off 97 balls as he carved his way through till the 34th over smashing 11 boundaries in his half century. From the bowlers, Sahil Jete with 4/12 was the pick of the lot from SATS.
Chasing 171, the pressure was certainly on the defending team as it’s a very chaseable score in a One Day match. However, the bowlers gave a tough fight restricting SATS to 141 all out in 39.5 overs. G Prem with 3/28 was the pick of the lot while rest of the bowlers also chipped in with a wicket or two.
