All-rounder Rahul Kulkarni powers Piramal Healthcare to a win in Chanawala Tournament’22

On May 7, Piramal Healthcare took on Mettler Toledo at Azad Maidan in Mumbai during the Chanawala tournament. Piramal Healthcare won the toss and elected to bat first.

Riding on twin half centuries from Rahul Kulkarni and Girish Rasivate, Piramal Healthcare posted 4-199 in 20 overs. Kulkarni, who opened the batting with Vaibhav Bogate stitched a 113 run partnership in 12.4 overs. While Bogate muscled 48 runs off 40 balls, Kulkarni top scored with  55 runs off 39 balls, including 10 boundaries. Towards the end, Rasivate played a 17-ball cameo to smash an unbeaten 54 to help his side post a competitive score. On the other hand, Mettler Toledo’s Pratik Borge was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped 2-43 in four overs.

In reply, Mettler Toledo were bundled out for 110 in 17 overs as they fell short of 85 runs. Opening batter Anvit Gharat top scored with a 27-ball 31, however could not take his side home. On the other hand, Piramal Healthcare’s Rahul Kulkarni wreaked havoc with the ball as he bagged 6-28 in four overs. Kulkarni bowled well in the middle overs as well as at the death overs.

Piramal Healthcare’s Rahul Kulkarni was the top performer in the match. Kulkarni’s all-round contributions helped Piramal Healthcare register an 85-run win over Mettler Toledo in Chanawala Tournament.
