Angkrish Raghuvanshi (106) & Shashwat Jhunjhunwala (114) steer U16 Kalina Center to a title win of the U16 LIC Kalpesh Koli Tournament’19

Into the all important finals, Kalina Center opting to bat first at the Dadkar Maidan posted a decent total of 322/9d in 78.3 overs.  Opener Angkrish Raghuvanshi 106 off 131 (15 fours, 4 sixes) and Shashwat Jhunjhunwala at no.4 smashed 114 off 130 balls (16 fours, 2 sixes) to take their team into a strong position. Both the batsman played some gorgeous shots en-route their tons while they also stitched a 169 run stand for the 3rd wicket.

Ghatkoper Center in reply were all out for 271/10 with half centuries from Prem Naik (60) and Abhinav Singh (87). Zenith Sachdev who has been one of the best spinners in the tournament continued to trouble the batsman taking 4/74 in 24.1 overs while A Jethwa taking 3 wkts.

2019 Kalina Center U16 won the match on 1st innings lead and become the winners of the Kalpesh Koli Tournament. Closing Ceremony function of 29th LIC Kalpesh Govind Koli Memorial Cricket Tournament was held in the presence of Chief Guest Raju Kulkarni (Former Indian Cricketer) , Ruta Ajgaonkar (Marketing Manager LIC of India) and MCA Members.
