CCI wins as opener Rudra Dhanday smashes a match winning hundred in Police Shield’21

PJ Hindu Gymkhana opting to bat first at SRT Gymkhana, Kandivali posted a total of 282/10 in 70 overs with Utkarsh Raut (67 runs) and Sachin Wagh (51 runs) scoring half centuries. Apart from them, Bins Neyoth (48 runs) and Hiken Shah (41 runs) contributed with the bat for PJ Hindu Gymkhana. From the bowlers, Mumbai Senior Team all-rounder Sujit Nayak was the pick of the lot with 3/64.

 

Chasing 283, Cricket Club of India chased down the score successfully in 52.4 overs winning the match by 7 wickets. Attacking opener Rudra Dhanday played a match winning knock of 123 runs in 106 balls. Rudra smashed 22 fours in his brilliant innings while he got good support from Arya Satpute (29 runs) and no.3 batsman Akash Anand (60 runs). All-rounder Sujit Nayak (42*) and Aryan Bangar (20*) at the middle order played the finishers role for CCI as they clinched a commanding win over PJ Hindu Gymkhana by 7 wkts.
