Chintan’s rescue act saves Royal Falcons in the ongoing AT20 Championship’20

Played between Hellbenders and Royal Falcons at the Chereshwar Club, Trombay, Hellbenders opting to bat first could only muster a total of 126/7 in 20 overs. Opener Raj Desai top scored for Hellbenders scoring 51 off 46 balls before he had to retire hurt.

Chasing 127, it was assumed to be a cakewalk for Royal Falcons but Hellbenders ensured they did not allow the opposition team to win easily.  With team struggling at 35/4 and 49/5 in the 9th over, it was left handed Chintan Seth at no.5 who in many ways reminded us of Australia’s Michael Bevan who would often play gritty knocks at middle order under pressure.

Chintan anchored the chase with a cool head hitting 58* off 48 balls (9 fours. 1 six) while he recieved good support from Pratik Chavan who scored 22* off 16 balls.

Result- Royal Falcons won the match by 4 wkts, Chintan Seth declared ‘Man of the Match
