Dream Run: Sidhaant Aadhhathrao’s 2022-23 Season So Far

Playing in Mumbai is as competitive as it can get, especially for batsmen. With numerous batsmen scoring heavily, one name stands out firmly in the crowd, Sidhaant Aadhhathrao. With a sublime season so far, Sidhaant has impressed everyone with his batsmanship as he attempts to break into the Mumbai Ranji Trophy Team. So far, the Mumbai Premier League player has come close to his goal by being the Vijay Hazare Probables in 2021.

Aaddhhathrao plays for the New Hind Cricket Club in Matunga which is one of the A division clubs in Mumbai. He has been a consistent performer for the past years but the 2022-23 season has been surreal for the batter. Since the Kanga League, Sidhaant has played batted in 9 out of 10 games, with 576 runs to his name, he averages 64 in A division club games with 2 fifties and 2 tons, one of them being the destructive innings of 193 against PJ Hindu Gymkhana.

The New Hind batter had a decent run in the infamous Times Shield Tournament as well. Playing for Mafatlal in C Division, Sidhaant has bashed 326 runs in 3 games. In his 5 innings, he has went passed the 50 mark thrice, missed out on a century by two runs once and has also scored an unbeaten hundred against Mumbai Division. Aadhhathrao has proved to be an asset for every team he has represented.

My goal is to represent Mumbai in all formats of the game. After this season, I definitely feel that I’m one step closer to it and hope to build on and get even better from here. Currently, I’m enjoying how I’m batting but I’ll keep working hard since it is what I believe a very fierce competition for a spot in the Ranji Team. Hopefully, I’ll reap the rewards soon.

Sidhaanth Aadhhathrao

With almost a 1000 runs in the season already across the top divisions itself, the former Triumph Knights player has definitely established himself as a force to reckon with in the Mumbai circuit. Soon enough, Sidhhaanth sees himself dawning the white jersey with the lion crest on his chest in the near future.
