In a brave move, Parag Khanapurkar the skipper of Payyade Sports Club opted to bat first (the 1st time so far in the Kanga League’19) which is one of the least decisions any team would opt for when it comes to Kanga Tournaments.  Parag’s decision was certainly backed by a solid performance as he top scored with an impressive 61 off 63 balls (4 fours, 2 sixes) coming at no.5. Praful Waghela (31) and Sarfaraz Khan (34) also chipped in as Payyade declared their innings on 171/7 in 37.1 overs

In a game full of surprises starting with Payyade opting to bat first, it was just the beginning as there was one more surprise package unveiled in the form of Akhil Herwadkar.  The solid left handed opener of Mumbai known for his batting bamboozled the Muslim United SC with a great spell of 6/10 in 8 overs uprooting the middle order.  Quickster Badrey Alam also looked in his elements as he took 3/23 in 9.2 overs.

Payyade Sports Club won the match on 1st innings lead while it was an all-round dominating performance by their playing XI.
