Javeri’s 6wkt haul in vain as Deepak Gala’s 75* ensures a big win for Super Strikers in the Zooter International School Dad’s Tournament’19

Super Strikers after being put to bat first were put in deep trouble with 3 quick wickets lost under the 1st two overs of the game with just 7 runs on the board. However, they got back into the game thanks to a crucial 101 run stand for the 4th wicket between Deepak Gala (75*) and Nitin Porwal (36). Coming in a pressure situation, Deepak scored an unbeaten 75* off 60 balls (8 fours) ensuring his team reached a defendable total of 151/7 in 20 overs. From the bowlers, it was Abhishek Javeri’s excellent spell of 6/30 in 4 overs which made him the pick of the lot. This spell by Abhishek is also the first fifer of the season in the School Dad’s Tournament.

AIS Sparks in reply were all out for 88 runs as Super Strikers bowled really well to defend their target. Most of the bowlers were bang on not leaking runs but it was Jash Dharod the most impressive with bowling figures of 4/13 in 4 overs.

Super Strikers who started off on a tensed note in the match went on to win the match by 63 runs.
