Jemimah’s 75 & Vrushali’s 64 puts Mumbai in command in the U23 Women’s One Day Tournament‘19

Mumbai team after opting to bat first with an aim of capitalizing and making a big total did managed to post a respectable total of 229/10 in 50 overs. After opener Sejal and Riya at no.3 getting out on ducks, it was Jemimah and Vrushali putting up a brilliant partnership to bring Mumbai team back into the game. Jemimah once again scored a solid run a ball 74 runs in 75 balls which had 12 boundaries while Vrushali played the anchors role scoring 64 off 111 balls with 7 boundaries in it. Manali Dakshini’s quick 43 at no.7 propelled Mumbai to a defendable total.

Delhi team also suffered a similar top order collapse but a gritty 69 by Simran at the middle order did raise a few hopes. However, it was again Saniya Raut with 3 crucial wickets & 2wkts each by Manali and Manjiri ended Delhi’s chase at 202 runs all out as Mumbai team won the match by 27 runs.
