Kushal Mirpury’s 97 powers TNP to a win against Avengers in the Jolly friend sports solo 1 premier league 2019-20.
JOLLY FRIENDS SPORTS SOLO 1 PREMIER LEAGUE 2019-20, 4th January 2020 : TNP locked horns with Avengerson 4th January at National cricket club (NCC), Cross Maidan, Churchgate, Mumbai. After winning the toss, Avengers elected to FIELD first.
Jolly friends sports club organized the match.
TNP opener Kushal Mirpury spearheaded the batting attack from the word go and scored a mind boggling innings of 97 runs off 63 balls. He lashed 14 fours and 2 sixes with his willow. Aiding Kushal was Devang jesrani who rolled the innings with singles and doubles played a cog like vital innings of 30 runs off 32 balls. Aniruddha Soni also smacked 18 runs of 10 balls at the end. They accumulated a total of 180 runs in 20 overs losing 3 wickets. Avengers bowlers spilled 25 extras and failed to tick many boxes. However, Ravi Chavhan bowled a pretty good spell of 2-28 in 7 overs.
For avengers, top order batsmen Ravi Chavhan and Harshad mallik stitched a diligent partnership of 54 runs for 3rd wicket, unfortunately after that partnership their innings stalled and they couldn’t cross the finishing line. They fell short by only 16 runs despite valiant efforts. Rohan Advani and captain Ananda pandit picked 2 wickets each for TNP. Rohan Advani bowled splendidly despite being away from cricket for a certain period and the captain Ananda pandit who didn’t bowl frequently in the season also rolled his arms to glory in this match. Altogether, the TNP bowlers did a good job picking up 9 wickets. Overall, a good day for cricket and certainly a satisfying match for TNP.
Results- TNP won by 16 runs.
